Youth@Work is a public-private partnership of the City of New Haven, the New Haven Board of Education, Workforce Alliance, the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and Empower New Haven. The program was established to provide underserved youth, ages 14-19, with enriching year-round and summer employment opportunities, innovative career development activities and essential work readiness skills.

2009 Update:

The Youth @ Work summer program will begin this week (June 16, 2009) with a weeklong orientation. Through this program, approximately 1200 youths will work in the public and private sector over the course of 5 weeks, where they will learn valuable skills and gain professional work experience.
